IBL / Co-op student intake for 2012

Why GSK?

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)’s vision is to help Australians do more, feel better and live longer.
Our two operating groups – GSK Pharmaceuticals and GSK Consumer Healthcare – strive each day to achieve this vision through our healthcare products, medicines and vaccines, significant exports, research and development and community activities.

GSK Consumer Healthcare manufacturers and markets some of Australia’s best known brands including Panadol, Macleans, Sensodyne and Nicobate. It’s an exciting, dynamic and fast paced place to work and learn

We invest more than $35 million a year in Australian R&D, and contribute to export revenue through pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare exports.  We supply more than 25 per cent of the world's medicinal opiate needs.  Our vaccines help protect Australians from illness, and literally millions of Australians use our consumer healthcare products.

At GSK, the community is in the heart of everything we do! The roles and responsibilities of a company like GSK in helping to address the challenges of improving global public health are rapidly evolving. In Australia, as a part of our community program, we provide funding, medicines, time and equipment to non-profit organisations with a focus on:

• Indigenous health
• Disease awareness
• Rural health
• Innovation in science education
• Preventative health

Which is why we can say, with confidence and considerable pride, that we helped someone today.
