The Australian Herpes Management Forum

The Australian Herpes Management Forum was established in 1996 and is an independent body which aims to improve the awareness, understanding, diagnosis, management and control of herpes virus infections in Australia.

In 2007: GSK was a principal sponsor of the AHMF providing $120,000 for administrative and operational costs to assist with the development and implementation of a number of projects, including:

  • Promotion of National Herpes Awareness Day 
  •  On-line Risk Survey for the general public 
  •  On-Line Doctor Service for patients 
  • Travel Grant Scholarship for health professionals 
  • On line Journal Club for health professionals
