GlaxoSmithKline Australia and Asthma CRC PhD Scholars Program Travel Grant 2007

GlaxoSmithKline Australia (GSKA) in collaboration with the Asthma CRC is pleased to offer up to two CRC PhD scholars per year a grant of up to $15,000 to work in a GSK laboratory overseas. The travel grant is intended to allow the PhD Scholar the opportunity to develop their skills in a commercial environment and be exposed to procedures and protocols within GSK.

The Scholar will already be the beneficiary of a research grant ("Current Award") from a non commercial source which represents the primary means of support for the Student/Post-doc and will not be employed by a competitive commercial organisation in the healthcare industry.

GlaxoSmithKline is a leading investor in Australian research and development, investing upto $35 million each year-ranking in Australia's top 20 R&D companies. Our global quest is to improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer.
