GSKA Post Graduate Support Grants

In 2005 GlaxoSmithKline launched a post graduate support grant programme offering grants of up to $25,000 over a two year period to PhD or Post Doctorate students in the field of human health. These awards were designed to provide further financial support to PhD or Post Doctorate research students who are already in receipt of a research grant from a non commercial body.

Closing deadline for all applications. 5.00pm AEST, Friday 28 August 2009
Announcement of successful Applications (& distribution of Research Agreements to winners) Mid-late November, 2009
Deadline for signing of Research Agreements by Institution, and submission of first invoice. Late Novermber, 2009
First payment made to institution Early December, 2009

 

Fields for Application

The recipient of the grant will be in the field of human health.

The Field should be one of the following:

 

  • Respiratory, Inflammation & Musculoskeletal
  • Metabolic Diseases and Cardiovascular
  • Neurology & Psychiatry 
  • Microbial & Viral
  • Proliferative Disease (includes Cancer) 
  • Drug Delivery and Drug Discovery Technology 
  • Prophylactic Vaccines 
  • Non Therapy Area Specific Biomedical Research
  • Ophthalmology

 

  • Excluded Fields - Applications are not sought for the following fields
  • Dentistry
  • Clinical Research
  • Consumer Products
